GRANDPA SWEETEUR (GRANDAD) PURCHASED SOME CAMELLIA JAPONICA STEMS FROM THE DOWNTOWN MARKET BACK IN THE 1960'S. HE PLANTED THEM IN BUCKETS ALONG THE FRONT YARD AND WATERED THEM DAILY. THE PLANTS SPROUTED AND LATER BECAME FLOWER BUSHES. TODAY, AT 90 YEARS OLD, GRANDPA SWEETEUR STILL COMES OUTSIDE TO PICK A FEW TO PLACE IN HIS MILK GLASS BUD VASES. I PLACED A VISIT TO HIS HOUSE TODAY AND TOOK A SOME PHOTOGRAPHS.
